Key Responsibilities

  • •Assume founding leadership for the SRE reliability strategy for SSv Technology, setting the reliability roadmap and adoption plan across regions and teams.
  • •Design and stand up the SRE operating model (central, embedded, hybrid), define charter/mandate/governance, and implement reliability practices across custody, fund services, and post-trade platforms.
  • •Hire and lead a small central SRE team (6–7), build an extended SRE community, and establish reliability engagement mechanisms (e.g., clinics, embedded rotations, readiness assessments).
  • •Establish SRE culture and enablement at scale (error budgets, blameless postmortems, reliability-as-code), and embed reliability guardrails/design reviews into day-to-day delivery.
  • •Hands-on lead major incidents with root-cause analysis and remediation; drive observability/automation/safe auto-remediation, stability/availability accountability, and resilience validation (DR/BCP, failover testing).

Key Requirements

  • •Formal training or certification in SRE concepts and extensive applied experience, including building/scaling an SRE reliability function from the ground up (ideally in regulated financial services).
  • •Strong reliability engineering mindset with evidence of designing self-healing systems and driving automation-first reliability improvements.
  • •Proven experience leading new initiatives at scale, including strategy, operating model design, mobilisation, adoption, and delivery across large engineering populations.
  • •Hands-on experience across cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), automation/scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform), and distributed platforms (containers, microservices, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • •Demonstrated observability and service management expertise (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana; ITIL Incident/Problem/Change/Availability) and strong communication in English.
