Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify APIfication and modernization opportunities and prepare business cases for approvals.
  • •Prepare architecture and design artifacts and obtain approval from JD Irving enterprise architects.
  • •Perform POCs and demonstrate outcomes for new ideas and innovations.
  • •Design and implement DevSecOps pipelines and instrument observability frameworks; own modern components.
  • •Track modernization initiatives and provide quarterly reports, coordinating core and flex team capacity as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Application assessment and reverse engineering, with architecture/design focused on performance, security, scalability, and availability.
  • •Experience with modernization architecture, APIfication, and identifying opportunities for new modern features aligned to approved designs.
  • •Ability to prepare effort estimates and identify required skills/capacity to execute modernization initiatives.
  • •Hands-on familiarity with .NET, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and MS SQL.
  • •Knowledge of Azure/Azure DevOps, GitHub Copilot, Docker, unit test automation, and microservice architecture.
