Job Summary

Apply hydrogeological expertise to manage hydrogeological data, build conceptual models, and interpret conditions to support risk assessment for contaminated land and landfill. Develop source–pathway–receptor linkages and quantitative hydrogeological risk assessments, prepare and review technical reports, and contribute to bid preparation. Collaborate with UK Ground and Water teams, line manage early-career professionals, and support growth of the GCC Hydrogeology team using tools like ConSim and Modflow.

Key Responsibilities

•Communicate and liaise with the UK Ground and Water project team, including project managers and directors.
•Undertake bid preparation, resource and budget development.
•Manage and support early-career professionals, contributing to recruitment and growth of the GCC Hydrogeology team.
•Manage hydrogeological data and develop conceptual models and interpretation; prepare factual and interpretive reports.
•Develop source-pathway-receptor linkages and perform hydrogeological risk assessment modelling for contaminated land and landfill, including quantitative risk assessments.

Key Requirements

•Postgraduate qualification (MTech, MSc and or PhD) in hydrogeology or a hydrogeological discipline.
•Chartership with an appropriate geoscience organisation.
•Understanding of the land contamination and regulatory regime within the UK and a risk-based approach to assessing land contamination.
•Experience managing hydrogeological data and developing conceptual models and interpretations based on data.
•Ability to use and learn hydrogeological software such as ConSim, LandSim, P20, FeFlow, Modflow, and SeepW.
