Job Summary

Develop software for router and LAN switch products as part of the Software Development Department. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to evaluate current and future architectures and implement one or more product modules from basic to detailed design, coding, testing, and bug fixing. Work cross-functionally with hardware development and QA, tackle complex technical problems, and research new technologies to deliver high-quality features for network security products.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop software to manage router and LAN switch products as a staff member of the Software Development Department.
•Investigate current and future architectures, requirements, and technology needs with internal teams.
•Design, code, test, and fix bugs for one or more embedded software functions/modules from basic to detailed design.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with software development, hardware development, and QA to deliver high-quality products.
•Participate in technical and complex problem solving and research new technologies to devise features and solutions.

Key Requirements

•1+ years of software development experience in the IT/software industry.
•Experience building using UNIX-based OS (Linux, BSD).
•Experience developing applications in JavaScript, Python, or other languages.
•Experience developing with web frameworks such as Angular or Django.
•Knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 network protocols and network switch security features; familiarity with REST API, NETCONF, SNMP, Telemetry, and Ansible is a plus.
