Manage and mentor a hybrid team of full-time engineers and contractors, enforce engineering excellence through code reviews and CI/CD, and partner with Product and Design to turn ambiguous requests into phased specifications.

•Own day-to-day agile development processes, including prioritization, sprint planning, and removing blockers to maintain velocity.
•Directly manage, mentor, and grow a hybrid engineering team of full-time engineers and contractors.
•Partner with Product, Design, and corporate stakeholders to translate user workflows and ambiguous requests into phased technical specifications.
•Enforce engineering excellence via code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and system documentation.
•Monitor and optimize application performance, reliability, and scale while keeping business and technical partners aligned through clear documentation and postmortems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 194,000 - 215,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of software engineering experience with strong understanding of software design patterns, APIs, and modern cloud backend architectures.
•3+ years of experience directly managing software engineering teams, including hiring, developing, and motivating engineers.
•Practical experience building SaaS/workflow, CRM, transactional systems, or large-scale enterprise software products.
•Ability to manage a team backlog, protect developers from over-commitment, and reliably ship high-quality software.
•Experience directing hybrid teams and contractors while maintaining high quality and clear performance standards.
