Key Responsibilities

•Reinforce didactic content by teaching knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing.
•Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
•Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs.
•Remain current with new trends and development in the field of nursing practice.
•Travel to GCU student sites to directly observe student performance during scheduled clinical rotations and labs.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Preferred: Master’s (or higher) in Nursing plus 2 years of recent direct patient care in complex/critical care nursing.
•BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught.
•Minimum of 3 years’ recent work experience in Complex Care/Critical Care nursing with a BSN.
•An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license.
•Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing, and have excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with students.
