Key Responsibilities

•Own services and the technology within them as part of a cross-functional team.
•Maintain and build new parts of the Payments Platform, focusing on high availability and cloud-native microservices.
•Lead technical direction and systems design for your squad.
•Mentor more junior members of the team.
•Collaborate with Product Owners and QA to deliver well-tested, scalable, fault-tolerant and performant solutions.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of Java backend development experience.
•Strong skills in functional Java (versions 8+) and Spring (ideally Springboot).
•Expert knowledge of Docker, EKS, AWS (public cloud), and Kafka.
•Experience with cloud-native architectures and practices (high availability, microservices, 12-factor apps, event-driven, CI/CD, observability).
•Practical experience with TDD, BDD, and contract testing in a DevOps environment.
