Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive generative recommendation research from discriminative to generative paradigms, including generative retrieval and generative re-ranking/blending.
  • •Leverage LLMs and reinforcement learning to enhance semantic understanding and reasoning in recommender systems for e-commerce challenges like cold start and long-tail items.
  • •Explore agentic recommendation research using self-evolving agents and agent architectures for real-time personalized decisions.
  • •Research long-term value (LTV) and user experience modeling, replacing heuristic rule-based systems with LLM and agent capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • •Solid foundation in machine learning and deep learning with research or project experience in large language models, reinforcement learning, generative models, recommender systems, or information retrieval.
  • •Proficient in Python and at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
  • •Strong problem-solving skills and passion for tackling complex, open-ended research problems.
