Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, review, and enhance credit acquisition policies for unsecured lending to support receivables growth while managing credit losses.
  • •Design and implement credit tests and acquisition strategies (e.g., scorecard cut-offs, policy rules) in partnership with Business, Risk, Credit Policy, and Operations.
  • •Ensure policies and risk strategies comply with local regulations and align with HSBC standards and governance requirements.
  • •Embed new and updated policies into Credit Operations through procedures, training, and ongoing engagement.
  • •Monitor and share portfolio insights (approval rates, delinquency trends, portfolio quality) and recommend actions for improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Science, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • •2–5 years’ experience in consumer lending credit risk, ideally unsecured lending (acquisition policy, underwriting strategy, or portfolio risk).
  • •Strong understanding of end-to-end credit processes, including underwriting, operational implementation, and portfolio monitoring metrics (delinquency/NPL/loss).
  • •Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and internal credit policy/governance standards.
  • •Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to translate analysis into clear recommendations.
