Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide project technical support and responsible design for overhead transmission projects, including OHL up to 400kV.
  • •Deliver OHL design on complex multi-discipline projects and contribute to large programmes such as Great Grid Partnership (GGP).
  • •Support proposal writing and define project details including timeline, resources, budget, objectives, and goals.
  • •Produce and check engineering deliverables such as complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages, including internal quality checks.
  • •Conduct feasibility studies and technical studies to identify preferred solutions/layouts and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical discipline (electrical engineering or power engineering).
  • •Professionally qualified CEng Chartered Engineer with a recognized electrical engineering institution (e.g., IET).
  • •Experience delivering UK projects for transmission system operators such as National Grid, SSE, and SPT, aligned to each operator’s standards.
  • •Project experience in overhead line engineering (ideally up to 400kV).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
