Key Responsibilities

  • •Support production execution for WCS projects safely in accordance with HSE procedures and lead the Welding Engineer team.
  • •Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods/process routing and equipment layouts for welding using drawings, materials, fabrication/assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • •Drive continuous improvement through change management best practices, including lean process and welding process innovation.
  • •Ensure welding process routing for standard, non-standard, and rework work is documented with clear work instructions or appropriate procedures.
  • •Prepare/review WPS and PQR documentation, manage welding consumables inventory, collaborate with engineering/bidding on plant capability, and participate in EHS/HSE programs at the Batam site.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • •Minimum 5 years of strong experience in welding/process-related manufacturing engineering.
  • •International Certified Welding Engineer / CSWIP Welding Engineer certification.
  • •Technical competency in welding processes including SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW.
  • •Hands-on knowledge of materials and processes (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, CRA alloys; pre-heat, post heat, PWHT) plus troubleshooting and failure analysis.
