Key Responsibilities

  • •Provision, monitor, and maintain hardware, software, and networking for new Cloudflare data centers.
  • •Perform remote server administration tasks via IPMI/BMC, including provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and firmware updates.
  • •Execute network device configuration for greenfield deployments and brownfield migrations.
  • •Coordinate and manage remote contractors for datacenter installations and upgrades, including rack-and-stack and vendor/datacenter/logistics alignment.
  • •Build automation to eliminate repetitive operational work and maintain documentation, SOPs, MOPs, and runbooks; provide technical guidance during deployments.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years in Data Center Operations, SRE, Linux Systems Administration, Network Engineering, and/or DevOps experience.
  • •Experience with network configuration and design documentation, including enterprise network protocol/topology knowledge.
  • •Hands-on datacenter deployment and troubleshooting, including remote “lights-out” server administration using IPMI/BMC.
  • •Configuration management experience (SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible) and scripting for automation (Python or Bash).
  • •Experience with optical transport technologies such as CWDM/DWDM and understanding of network routing (e.g., BGP/anycast).
