Key Responsibilities

  • •Facilitate safety and operational orientation for new hires to ensure training compliance.
  • •Collaborate with employees and management to develop and maintain career development plans and training needs.
  • •Conduct mill safety reviews, investigations, and audits to monitor compliance with corporate safety directives.
  • •Lead divisional safety practices, including chairing safety committee meetings and promoting health and safety participation.
  • •Provide guidance and training to trainers, and coordinate environmental responsibilities with the environmental team (tests, samples, records, audits).

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1–2 years of experience in training & development in a health and/or safety role.
  • •Experience with safety management programs and managing safety programs.
  • •Working knowledge of web-based computer applications and Microsoft Office.
  • •Ability to be a safety subject matter expert with OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • •College degree in Business or an industrial-related field and additional safety coursework (preferred), with industrial manufacturing experience an asset.
