Job Summary

Own the development and day-to-day support of Oracle project and production databases within the Database Services Team, ensuring incidents are resolved quickly and service targets (SLAs) are met. Perform database troubleshooting, performance monitoring, tuning, installs/upgrades, and enhancements. Document procedures and act as a quality gate for changes to live systems, while collaborating across technical teams and providing occasional out-of-hours weekend support.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform database troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensure incidents are resolved effectively and quickly.
•Contribute to cross-team troubleshooting to address issues across related systems.
•Deliver project work including installs, upgrades, and enhancements to database systems under demanding timelines.
•Thoroughly document work, share knowledge, and mentor colleagues as needed.
•Identify and document procedures/policies/methods and act as a quality gate for new systems introduced into live service, including occasional out-of-hours/weekend support.

Key Requirements

•Clustering/DR experience and strong backup & recovery fundamentals for enterprise Oracle databases.
•Performance monitoring and tuning experience to troubleshoot and optimize database systems.
•Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), along with grid and database patching.
•Strong Oracle DBA skills with SQL to DBA standard.
•Security/audit/compliance knowledge for databases (Oracle Certified Professional certification is preferred).
