Job Summary

Catalyze better risk decisions by serving as a CAT Modeler for Latin America. You’ll provide analytical support across multiple inland catastrophe projects, advance in-house CAT tools, and deliver client-ready analyses and real-time loss estimates. You’ll collaborate with brokers, actuaries, and specialists, using CatMetrica and SQL, in a hybrid Rio de Janeiro office environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide catastrophe modeling support across multiple projects and client assignments.
•Collaborate with brokers, actuaries and other specialists to deliver high-quality, client-ready analyses and insights.
•Coordinate with analysts to develop and maintain in-house CAT modeling tools for inland catastrophe applications.
•Produce meaningful catastrophe analyses and clearly explain corporate modeling results through written and verbal communication.
•Provide real-time loss estimates of actual catastrophic events in Latin America.

Key Requirements

•Catastrophe modeling experience with major vendors (AIR, RMS)
•Advanced user of Excel, Access and PowerPoint; SQL knowledge preferred
•Bilingual English/Portuguese with strong written and verbal communication
•Ability to take ownership, work independently, and manage multiple assignments
•Degree in Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Engineering or a related field
