Job Summary

Design, build, and operate F5’s edge cloud platform used to deploy secure, scalable applications worldwide. Own production reliability through monitoring, alert remediation, and on-call rotation, while architecting foundational platform services and Infrastructure as Code pipelines. Partner with SREs, application engineers, and QA to define platform requirements, set SLOs/SLIs, improve developer experience, and continuously evaluate new technologies to enhance performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage production environments by monitoring availability and alerts and promptly remediating production issues.
•Design and deliver infrastructure solutions for platform service components, investigating technologies to build scalable and highly available systems.
•Provide technical leadership and mentorship, partnering with development teams to improve services continuously.
•Own F5 Cloud Platform software components and ensure they meet functional, scale, performance, and manageability requirements.
•Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines (e.g., Terraform, Helm), define SLOs/SLIs, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve developer experience.

Key Requirements

•BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in an SRE/Platform Engineering/DevOps role.
•Proven experience designing, building, and managing distributed, highly available systems.
•Strong DevOps and automation background, including CI/CD practices and automation frameworks.
•Deep understanding of Linux systems and proficiency in Python or Golang for scalable microservices and tooling.
•Hands-on experience with DNS, Security, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
