Key Responsibilities

  • •Become a domain expert in an area of Stripe’s payments stack.
  • •Find automated solutions and implement tool updates to drive operational efficiencies.
  • •Engage with financial partners to align on product usage and troubleshoot technical problems or breakages.
  • •Organize and direct complex technical changes and projects between Stripe and partners.
  • •Design anomaly detection systems and tools to ensure reliable and correct data flowing through partner and internal systems, including manual and programmatic reporting and reconciliation.
  • •Collaborate across engineering, accounting, financial partnerships, and product to trace and account for money movement transactions.
  • •Handle technical inquiries from internal and external partner teams, including detailed investigation and occasional code changes.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in a technical role (e.g., Technical Operations or Software Engineering).
  • •Experience managing communications and workflows across technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Ability to write high-quality code; experience working mostly in Ruby and Java (other languages can be learned).
  • •Comfort using SQL to navigate data and diagnose issue scope and urgency.
  • •Ability to build operational processing and tooling from scratch, with developer tools comfort (e.g., git) and skills to make well-scoped code changes.
