Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for UK-based infrastructure and built environment projects.
  • •Prepare cost plans, estimates, and budgets across RIBA pre-contract stages (RIBA 0–4), including quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities using NRM and CESMM.
  • •Carry out cost monitoring and reporting (CVRs, forecasting, cashflow assessments) and conduct risk analysis to recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • •Administer construction contracts and change management under NEC, FIDIC, and JCT forms, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal frameworks.
  • •Develop procurement strategies and tender/contract documents, perform rate analysis (SPONS price book, SoR, BCIS), and mentor team members on cost estimation and BOQ best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of experience in quantity surveying with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts, including NEC, JCT, and FIDIC.
  • •Experience in procurement planning and tendering for cost and commercial delivery.
  • •Advanced knowledge of CostX is preferred.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field; MRICS (or equivalent) is preferred.
