Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.
  • •Collaborate to prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans for field programs.
  • •Train junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation, and on-site health and safety.
  • •Prepare and compile data for, and write, reports including conclusions and recommendations.
  • •Work in the field in remote locations during two field programs (winter and summer), in shifts of approximately two weeks on and two weeks off, up to a maximum of three shifts.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree or diploma in engineering, or natural/earth sciences.
  • •Minimum 4-6 years of field experience in contaminated site assessments.
  • •Experience working in remote location and/or camp setting.
  • •Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace; safety-conscious attitude.
  • •Professional designation or a professional in training is preferred.
