Key Responsibilities

  • •Function as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and stay current on industry and PSL technological developments.
  • •Implement engineering processes for quality and integrity assurance, including maintaining HMS processes and best practices.
  • •Review and approve well designs and/or programs to ensure compliance with contracts and the company’s HMS policies and procedures.
  • •Ensure operational activities include completed risk matrices with mitigation plans, and resolve critical engineering/operational issues.
  • •Lead and coordinate well planning, design, and engineering activities for drilling, completions, and abandonment; manage platform rig engineering and ensure peer reviews and performance improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree in STEM, preferably Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
  • •12+ years experience as a Well Engineer with knowledge of drilling, completions, and intervention operations/techniques.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
  • •Well Control certificate.
  • •Preferred: 15+ years relevant experience in oil & gas operations or the discipline.
