Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and transport loads safely on required routes.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and delivery documentation) and deliver documents at route completion.
  • •Perform routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license, appropriate for the vehicle weight you’ll operate.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by applicable federal/state DOT regulations and complete a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and complete prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
