Key Responsibilities

  • •Define mechanical architecture for STE platforms, including enclosures, fixtures, harness routing, mounting/alignment, thermal control hardware, vibration/test interfaces, and integration hardware.
  • •Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, plus assembly and technician work instructions to support fabrication and testing.
  • •Perform mechanical analyses and modeling (structural, modal, thermal, tolerance stack-up, fit/function) to predict performance and ensure compliance with space/test requirements.
  • •Design and implement thermal management solutions for STE and devices under test, including conduction/convection/radiation paths, thermal interface materials, and validation with test data.
  • •Lead prototyping and integration activities including machine shop fabrication, additive manufacturing/rapid iteration, and mechanical-electrical integration support during lab testing and debugging.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Top Secret post-start) requiring U.S. citizenship.
  • •Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (focus in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications related to the work.
  • •Minimum 2 years of professional experience using CAD software.
