Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage material planning activities to ensure timely material delivery supporting production operations.
  • •Monitor buy-item flows, manage inventory levels and safety stock, and prevent shortages and production downtime.
  • •Ensure the planning team is trained and effectively using ERP tools and Trane Standard Work; champion Lean for materials planning.
  • •Coordinate procurement and supplier onboarding, receive and analyze requisitions, recommend/select suppliers, and maintain supplier performance.
  • •Maintain material plans at the time fence, coordinate with production for alternatives when parts are delayed, and analyze material/capacity to provide promise dates.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years planner/buyer manufacturing experience.
  • •Experience with operations, inventory management, MRP, and lean manufacturing processes.
  • •Experience in leading a team (strongly preferred).
  • •Experience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and manufacturing environments.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may substitute).
