Job Summary

Safely operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck to manufacture, deliver, and unload concrete to construction sites across Ohio. Follow dispatcher/plant manager instructions, check delivery tickets, maintain clear communication, and ensure proper loading, signatures, and admixture additions. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, keep the truck and drum clean, handle customer payments and basic questions, and follow OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe operating practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites safely and efficiently while following laws and dispatch instructions.
•Maintain communication with the dispatcher or plant manager; check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete them.
•Load and unload materials safely (including climbing ladders as needed, handling mixer chutes, and adding admixtures when necessary).
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance/repair issues, and maintain cleanliness of the truck and drum.
•Collect money from customers and record transactions; complete ticket paperwork and respond to basic product knowledge questions.

Key Requirements

•Must possess a valid minimum Class B CDL.
•Must acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state-issued commercial driver license.
•High school diploma preferred (or equivalent) and/or minimum of 1 year related experience or training (or equivalent combination).
•Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use PPE as directed.
•Ability to read/interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions, and write routine reports and correspondence.
