Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead radar testing across L, S, C, X, Ku, and Ka frequency bands using FMCW, pulse Doppler, and phased array technologies.
  • •Conduct RF measurements (power, gain, EIRP, spectrum occupancy) and evaluate EM/EMC for spectral compliance, including near-field and far-field antenna range measurements.
  • •Plan and oversee CUAS RD/T&E at active airports, including spectrum interference testing, development of test plans/test cards, and structured evaluation frameworks.
  • •Manage vendor systems during deployment, troubleshooting, data collection, and teardown; establish evaluation selection criteria and pass/fail metrics.
  • •Perform RF hazard analyses and translate RD/T&E results into performance specification frameworks and multi-airport CUAS recommendations aligned with FAA safety principles.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical (preferred) or another technical discipline; non-U.S. degrees must be ABET accredited.
  • •10+ years of progressive engineering experience in RF, radar, or spectrum management.
  • •Proven experience using spectrum analyzers and related equipment to test and characterize complex RF devices and environments for FCC/NTIA compliance.
  • •Demonstrated success conducting open-air RF/spectrum data collection and evaluating complex technologies with minimal supervision.
  • •Strong technical writing and presentation skills, plus proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
