Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform functions related to the release of information process, including authorization validation and logging requests in the electronic Health Information System.
  • •Prepare CDs and provide links for diagnostic images as requested.
  • •Coordinate with the Operating Room to obtain procedure recordings.
  • •Ensure privacy and compliance by validating requests/authorizations and completing work with required quality checks and confidentiality.
  • •Receive, reconcile, and process incoming and emergency ROI requests via mail, telephone, e-mail, Cerner Messenger, and CRM, communicating with requestors and stakeholders to complete or cancel requests accurately.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Medical Records, Health Informatics, or Release of Information.
  • •Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations for releasing Protected Health Information (PHI) and consent.
  • •Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare delivery systems.
  • •Skills in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and email systems).
  • •Ability to speak and write in English fluently; customer service skills; High School Diploma with clinical/healthcare certificate/diploma preferred (e.g., medical record technology, ICD coding, medical transcription).
