Job Summary

Lead the North and South Carolina Bridge Inspection practice, providing strategic, technical, operational, and business leadership. Oversee district‑wide performance, ensure NBIS compliance and QA/QC standards, mentor TEC leads, drive multi‑year inspection programs, manage staffing and growth, and maintain strong client relationships with DOTs and transportation agencies.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide district leadership, direction, and mentorship to statewide Bridge Inspection TEC Leads, ensuring technical excellence, staff development, performance management, and succession planning.
•Establish and maintain consistent inspection practices, QA/QC standards, and delivery processes across North and South Carolina.
•Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration aligned with WSP policies and values, and anticipate workforce needs with strategic hiring.
•Lead business development for bridge inspection services across NC/SC, including pursuit strategy, proposals, fee development, and client interviews.
•Provide executive oversight for statewide multi-year bridge inspection programs, including workload planning, staffing utilization, and financial performance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
•Professional Engineer (PE) license; multi-state licensure preferred (NC & SC)
•12+ years of progressive experience in bridge inspection under NBIS, including leadership of complex programs, districts, or regions
•Demonstrated experience managing bridge inspection programs for NCDOT, SCDOT, or comparable transportation agencies
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within NC and SC as required
