Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop Medium Voltage Assemblies (MV GIS/AIS) to meet customer technical, cost, and market requirements per IEC/IEEE/UL standards.
  • •Design, validate, and release MV GIS/AIS assemblies and support prototype development and type test plans for UL product certification.
  • •Support new product production orders and address production order issues while maintaining deliverable timelines.
  • •Own NPI projects and ensure timely, high-quality milestone/gate deliverables, including Dfx best practices during product design.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Eaton India Innovation Center in Pune and US facilities) and perform analysis to drive root cause for product failures.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical.
  • •4-7 years in MV electrical switchgear design and development.
  • •Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Pro-E, SolidWorks, or Ideas, including creating detailed and assembly drawings.
  • •Knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear and MV AIS/GIS, including MV product design standards IEC/UL/IEEE.
  • •Familiarity with FEA and basic static FEA simulations; Lean Six Sigma knowledge with DFSS/DMAIC certification desirable.
