Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • •Perform daily inspections on the forklift to ensure it is in good working order.
  • •Plan and organize lumber for the shift and load tilt-hoist (infeed) with designated lumber while tracking loads.
  • •Load, stack, and organize lumber and supplies to keep production flow on schedule.
  • •Clean up the work area during and after shifts and assist other mill operations as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts, preferably heavy-duty units in a sawmill or industrial setting.
  • •Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety practices, including handling large, heavy materials accurately.
  • •Must be trained and qualified to operate the forklift and follow OSHA regulations and safe operating procedures.
  • •Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
  • •Strong attention to detail and good communication skills to work effectively with others.
