Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and maintain a risk-based annual Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Plan (CMAP), refreshed by risk assessments, FSRA thematic reviews, and regulatory changes.
  • •Design and execute control testing across AML/CFT, sanctions, market abuse, client-asset safeguarding, complaints, outsourcing, and technology/cyber governance.
  • •Apply full-cycle assurance methodology from scoping and walkthroughs through sampling, testing, root-cause analysis, findings rating, remediation tracking, and closure validation.
  • •Produce board-ready assurance reports and manage issue tracking, remediation frameworks, and escalation for overdue or high-risk items to relevant committees.
  • •Build and lead the CMAT assurance team, set testing standards, drive quality review and coaching, and strengthen coverage via automation and data analytics.

Key Requirements

  • •7–10+ years in compliance, assurance, internal audit, or regulatory supervision within financial services/fintech, preferably crypto/VASP.
  • •3+ years leading teams or workstreams in a second-line or audit function.
  • •Strong knowledge of ADGM FSRA rulebooks and the UAE AML/CFT landscape, with comparable regulator experience considered.
  • •Proven track record designing and executing risk-based compliance monitoring/testing programmes across AML/CFT and financial-crime controls.
  • •Excellent written and verbal English for report writing and stakeholder presentations.
