Job Summary

Join the Airframe and Mechanical Equipment Stress team at Airbus Helicopters in Marignane and support structural evaluation from concept through detailed design. Perform sizing and strength substantiation using hand calculations and FEM (linear and non-linear), prepare test programs and justification reports for static strength and fatigue, and help define service life, inspection, and maintenance intervals. Work in an agile environment to optimize strength, fatigue life, weight, and cost for VTOL programs.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct structural evaluation and stress analysis across development phases, targeting optimized strength, fatigue life, weight, and cost.
•Perform sizing and strength substantiation using hand calculations and FEM (linear and non-linear) to support airframe and mechanical equipment design.
•Prepare test programs and test orders and supervise tests.
•Create justification reports for static strength and fatigue.
•Determine and justify service life, inspection, and maintenance intervals, including handling manufacturing deviations with rework/repair definitions and customer service requests.

Key Requirements

•M.Sc. or Ph.D. in aerospace engineering (or equivalent).
•Experience via thesis or traineeship in the stress area.
•Basic knowledge of justification methods (analytical methodologies and FEM) for metal and composite materials.
•French and English at advanced level.
•Committed, independent, autonomous, and able to work in teams with strong communication.
