Key Responsibilities

•Architect and implement advanced API gateway and service mesh solutions for enterprise clients, translating complex business requirements into robust technical designs.
•Lead technical deep-dive sessions, workshops, and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate Kong’s capabilities to diverse stakeholders.
•Drive resolution of critical customer technical issues in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
•Own the technical success of strategic customer accounts from pre-sales to post-implementation, ensuring long-term satisfaction and expansion.
•Influence product roadmap by translating customer feedback into actionable engineering insights.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant) within an enterprise software environment.
•Deep expertise with API lifecycle management, microservices architectures, and distributed systems.
•Strong command of cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/Azure/GCP).
•Programming/scripting skills in Golang, Python, Lua, or JavaScript with ability to build integrations.
•Experience with Open Source, APIs, or Infrastructure is essential.
