Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls/terminations, system equipment and components, and rack fabrication and wiring.
  • •Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors and complete AV systems installation-related tasks.
  • •Read and interpret system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints; test point-to-point cabling and functionality.
  • •Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects, demonstrating job site leadership and overseeing Level 1 technicians.
  • •Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager, act as customer liaison on-site, coordinate with other trades, and travel to job sites as required.

Key Requirements

  • •2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience and the ability to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling.
  • •Intermediate understanding of AV systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems).
  • •Intermediate knowledge of network infrastructure and how it integrates with AV systems (IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
  • •Ability to read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
  • •Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record meeting AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.
