Job Summary

Associate Cost Manager sought to deliver cost management across large infrastructure projects in the South West, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Based in Bristol, Cardiff, Plymouth or Exeter, you’ll manage cost planning, procurement, value engineering and reporting across water, highways, rail and energy sectors, while mentoring junior staff and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and deliver all aspects of cost management from inception to completion, including feasibility, cost planning, procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, risk management and final accounts.
•Maintain high professional standards in client dealings and uphold the firm’s profile.
•Drive performance and technical excellence through clear communication and use of practice networks.
•Maintain and develop strong client relationships to promote premium services in the construction industry.
•Support the internal team and mentor junior staff on technically complex projects.

Key Requirements

•Quantity Surveying degree or Construction/Engineering background (ideally)
•Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or equivalent
•Significant and proven experience in Cost Management/Quantity Surveying on large-scale infrastructure projects
•Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (PSC and ECC)
•Experience of cost/commercial management within integrated, multi-organisation teams
