Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and scheduled follow-up repairs for trailers and equipment in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Independently diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems (e.g., trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, brake chambers) including welding/fabrication and panel/framework replacement.
  • •Manage parts inventory and reconcile as needed for work performed from the company-issued service truck.
  • •Maintain and operate the service vehicle, including safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete repair documentation (DOT forms and Repair Orders) and upload photos of work, parts used, and findings via the company iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and 3+ years experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification and ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid CDL-A license; maintain driver eligibility/DQF and complete required MVR review.
