Job Summary

Work hands-on at an asphalt plant to help it run efficiently and safely. You’ll follow instructions from supervisors for daily tasks, shovel and rake materials, assist with loading and dumping, and operate equipment such as power brooms, compactors, pumps, generators, jack hammers, vibratory rollers, loaders, and bobcats. You’ll also support plant maintenance and repair, perform pre-shift safety inspections, and keep the site clean and compliant with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Follow instructions from the foreperson or supervisor to complete daily tasks.
•Shovel and rake materials regularly and assist truck drivers with loading and dumping.
•Operate diverse equipment, including loaders/bobcats and various plant tools and machinery.
•Support maintenance and repair of plant equipment and conduct pre-shift safety inspections.
•Maintain clean, safe work areas and adhere to DOT, OSHA, MSHA, and other safety regulations.
