Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform housekeeping duties through the feed mill.
  • •Pellet finished feed rotations using feed mill control systems (manual and computer) and transfer finished feed to the correct bins.
  • •Mix finished feed rations using the control system to auto batch/auto route runs according to sequencing and/or flushing.
  • •Grind corn for finished rations using control system auto grind/auto route.
  • •Maintain equipment and operations: daily pellet mill maintenance, weekly cleaning of particle separators, keep accurate FDA and divisional records, dispatch/load feed delivery trucks, and collect feed/ingredient samples.
  • •Observe and enforce personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies and participate in process improvement/problem solving.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or related experience/training preferred.
  • •1-3 years related experience preferred.
  • •Basic math skills and some skill in computers for record keeping.
  • •Some mechanical ability, ability to lift 80-pound bags, and willingness/ability to work in cool temperatures (~40 degrees).
  • •Ability to dispatch loads and communicate with associates, vendors, drivers, and growers; pallet jack license and/or willingness to acquire; authorized to do LOTO or willingness to acquire authorization.
