Job Summary

Lead electrical engineering delivery for data centre projects, partnering with a multi-disciplinary team across building services disciplines. Support project planning and management, provide technical input for electrical design studies, and produce contract documentation and technical reports. Collaborate with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers, while mentoring junior and intermediate engineers and attending design coordination and site inspection meetings.

Key Responsibilities

•Run projects and take ownership for electrical project delivery on data centre schemes.
•Lead a team of engineers on electrical scopes while coordinating with multi-discipline engineers.
•Prepare electrical designs across RIBA stages, including feasibility reports, and perform site supervision/inspection.
•Support contract documentation and specifications, and contribute to estimating and cost control.
•Mentor junior and intermediate engineers; provide technical solutions to clients and peers and contribute to technical proposals.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Postgraduate experience in a building services design role with a particular focus on data centres.
•Master’s degree qualified in electrical engineering, preferably with a building services bias.
•Member of a professional accreditation body (IET or CIBSE) and CEng accredited or working towards.
•Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects and leading/supervising multi-disciplinary design teams.
•Confidently deliver electrical designs in close collaboration with other building services and wider disciplines.
