Key Responsibilities

•Create procurement strategies and purchasing policies for employees with purchasing responsibilities.
•Oversee procurement of services and supplies, including machinery, equipment, tools, and raw materials; review proposals and qualify suppliers.
•Lead cost reduction efforts and monitor major subcontractor cost, schedule, and performance factors.
•Use RFIs/RFPs and benchmarking to deliver business results; develop written agreements and research new sources of supply.
•Train, mentor, and evaluate staff; ensure annual goals and performance management are up to date.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree required.
•5 to 8 years purchasing/procurement or related experience, with supervision and leadership experience preferred.
•Proven vendor selection and negotiation skills with strong business acumen.
•Knowledge of negotiating and developing contracts.
•Understanding of related computer systems, such as Google Workspace and ERP tools, and other procurement tools for sourcing and analytics.
