Key Responsibilities

•Design ML use cases from the ground up, scoping solutions that optimize business value and account for complex marketing journeys; identify risks to set engagements up for success
•Build and own the full ML pipeline from raw data through transformation, model training, and activation to drive personalized experiences for millions of end users
•Provide ongoing technical guidance to ensure data science performance, adoption, and measurable outcomes for customers
•Extend BrazeAI capabilities by developing features and tools that support the broader AI deployment team and scale engagement solutions
•Partner with the Braze Product team to refine reinforcement learning algorithms and advance self-learning capabilities of the platform

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or PhD preferred
•3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role with large-scale data in production
•Strong technical expertise in Python (Pandas) and ML libraries (TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, CatBoost, XGBoost); proficient in SQL for querying datasets and building ML pipelines
•Experience with software engineering best practices (Git, CI/CD, testing, type-hinting, code reviews) and building scalable, maintainable solutions
•Nice-to-have: experience with DevOps tools (Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, GCP), data integration/ETL, or reinforcement learning algorithms
