Key Responsibilities

  • •Turn complex product, customer, and risk data into decision frameworks and durable measurement systems for partners.
  • •Use AI tools and agent workflows to accelerate exploration, automate repetitive tasks, and support hypothesis generation and stress testing.
  • •Own end-to-end analytics across metrics definition, experimentation, forecasting, visualization, and decision support.
  • •Define and maintain credit measurement frameworks covering eligibility, repayment behavior, product usage, loss performance, funnel health, and long-term outcomes.
  • •Lead technical direction and standards for the Block Data Science team by building reusable frameworks, measurement templates, and scalable tooling; mentor and grow junior data scientists.

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or similar) with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 6-8+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Advanced proficiency with SQL and experience building decision-oriented data visualizations.
  • •Strong product, analytical, and statistical judgment to turn ambiguous product, customer, or risk questions into sound analyses and support decisions.
  • •Experience using AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and durability of analytical work.
