Job Summary

Architect, implement, and maintain high-availability, reliable application services for Visa’s global payment systems. Automate monitoring, deployment, and incident response; investigate complex issues to prevent recurring incidents; and collaborate with global engineering teams to build and evolve toward cloud-native solutions. Support on-call rotations, drive operational documentation, and help optimize ML model deployment pipelines. Apply expertise across cloud, containers, distributed systems, and observability tools to improve reliability and efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and implement solutions to maintain “Always On” availability for application services.
•Automate monitoring, deployment, and incident response processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
•Lead investigations and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues and prevent future incidents.
•Collaborate with global engineering teams to build, support, and deploy application services.
•Drive the evolution to cloud-native solutions, including documentation and participating in on-call rotations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree such as Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or PhD, or relevant work experience.
•Experience designing and deploying high-performance applications using modern technologies (e.g., Tomcat, Apache, Spring Boot).
•Experience leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP for scalable and resilient infrastructure.
•Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate deployment and management.
•Experience with monitoring and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and the ELK stack.
