Key Responsibilities

  • •Own supplier development for assigned suppliers: assess capability, identify gaps, and build improvement roadmaps delivering gains in quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
  • •Lead supplier qualification and onboarding using APQP/PPAP and related quality-planning tools to ensure readiness before production release.
  • •Drive systemic supplier improvement with structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies (8D, DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma) and coach suppliers on preventive, capable processes.
  • •Own category strategy for assigned material groups, including supply-base rationalization, consolidation/dual-sourcing/new-supplier introduction, and TCO/value-analysis-based business decisions.
  • •Partner cross-functionally for cost-out and value-engineering within the category and support commercial negotiations, pricing, cost management, and supply-risk mitigation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 8 years’ progressive experience across supplier development, supplier quality, or category management (or 6 years with a Master’s).
  • •Expertise in supplier development and quality tools including APQP, PPAP, 8D, SPC, and ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
  • •Proven experience developing/improving suppliers via audits, capability assessments, corrective actions, and performance improvement in an international environment.
  • •Experience in category management (supply-base strategy, TCO/cost modelling, and business-case ownership), with strong commercial acumen for negotiation and cost management.
