Drive adoption through training and stakeholder engagement, chair the Data Governance Forum, and enhance data triage and data sharing trust frameworks, alongside maintaining the enterprise data catalogue.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, own, and maintain the data governance framework, ensuring data is treated as an organisational asset with clear ownership, accountability, security, and interoperability.
•Define, implement, and evolve data governance policies, standards, and frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory licence obligations and industry best practice.
•Lead continuous improvement of the Open Data Triage Framework and Data Sharing Infrastructure Trust Framework.
•Monitor regulatory and industry developments and translate their impact into updated governance policies and internal ways of working.
•Chair and manage the Data Governance Forum, and support governance processes for data custodianship, master systems, and the enterprise data catalogue.

Key Requirements

•In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards (e.g., DAMA, Ofgem Data Best Practice).
•Proven experience developing and embedding data governance frameworks within a regulated utility or similar environment.
•Strong understanding of data management, data quality, stewardship, and accountability models.
•Experience working with data governance platforms (Informatica desirable).
•Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including delivering training and influencing senior stakeholders.
