Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide R&D support to application and product engineers for customer problems and requests, including problem analysis, debugging, and development of new features to improve synthesis results.
  • •Debug and optimize performance, timing, area, and power in physical verification workflows and related tools.
  • •Collaborate with geographically distributed teams to develop advanced functionality and ensure quality across projects.
  • •Mentor and support junior engineers to develop programming skills and contribute to the EDA domain.
  • •Contribute to Cadence’s culture of collaboration and innovation while solving challenging technology problems.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python with solid software engineering fundamentals.
  • •Experience in development of data analysis and debugging tools for performance analysis and optimization of geometric/topological operations for physical verification software.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot and debug large complex databases and work with distributed teams.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in EE/ECE/CS or equivalent (BE/BTech/ME/MTech).
  • •4-6 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with an interest in research-oriented projects.
