Key Responsibilities

  • •Concept and build planning, forecasting, and simulation models in Anaplan, from architecture and calculation logic to understandable views and dashboards.
  • •Capture requirements from Controlling colleagues, structure them, and translate them into business concepts, user stories, and scalable model solutions.
  • •Integrate and automate Anaplan with the reporting infrastructure around Power BI, Microsoft Azure/Fabric, SQL, and Databricks for reliable data flows.
  • •Train junior and less experienced Anaplan Model Builders and act as a sparring partner for internal customers.
  • •Work closely with Finance, IT, Data Engineers, and BI Specialists, and with the global Anaplan team to align business unit needs with group standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business informatics, computer science, business administration/economics, or a comparable education with relevant specialization.
  • •3+ years of experience as an Anaplan Model Builder, including model design; Anaplan certification (e.g., Model BLevel 3 or Solution Architect) is a plus.
  • •Strong understanding of finance and controlling (income statement, balance sheet, cost accounting, planning and forecasting processes), ideally from the insurance industry.
  • •Technical background with SQL, tabular data models, and Power BI; experience with Microsoft Azure/Fabric, Databricks, DAX, or Python is a plus.
  • •Clear, audience-appropriate communication with Finance and IT in German and English.
