•Own Modelling, Rigging, and Surfacing pipeline troubleshooting, tool development, and artist support.
•Lead technical direction, evolution, and maintenance of core workflows and technologies for those craft groups.
•Design, develop, and write high-quality, maintainable code; review code and debug workflow issues.
•Partner with TDs, Solutions Engineers, and R&D to resolve pipeline problems and maximize efficiency and quality across adjacent departments.
•Drive QA, technical testing, and validation for new technology, tool releases, and pipeline changes while mentoring junior team members.

Salary: CAD 120,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of pipeline TD experience in large-scale animated features, animated TV series, gaming, and/or VFX.
•Solid production/industry experience as a TD.
•Strong understanding of OpenUSD (composition and Hydra) and architecture.
•Comprehensive experience troubleshooting with Maya and Houdini, including their APIs.
•Strong Python expertise (including PyQt/PySide), plus familiarity with asset management and code management workflows.
