Job Summary

Design, build, and support the integration of maritime electrical subsystems for autonomous underwater vehicles. Own full-cycle PCB design—from requirements and schematics through layout, bring-up, testing, debugging, and system integration—while troubleshooting issues across electrical and software boundaries. Develop payload interfaces, power and networking, interconnect diagrams, and wire harness definitions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design reviews and on AUV system integration and verification through TRLs 3–8.

Key Responsibilities

•Own full-cycle PCB design, including requirements, schematics, component selection, layout, bring-up, test, debug, and system integration.
•Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software debugging tools.
•Develop payloads and electrical subsystems including sensors, payload interfaces, power management, and networking.
•Create system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses connecting electronic equipment within a subsystem.
•Partner with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to conduct design reviews and support AUV system integration and testing through TRLs 3–8.

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 7+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
•Self-starter comfortable working independently in a distributed team.
•Broad practical skills across electrical and electromechanical work, including knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
•Competence using lab and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes) and automating tests.
•Experience with interfaces and electronics such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, MCU/CPU/FPGA devices, CAD tools (Altium preferred), and design for signal/power integrity.
