Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and/or assist with day-to-day Traffic Management Center (TMC) operations, monitoring roadway conditions, incidents, special events, and weather impacts using ITS and transportation management systems.
  • •Coordinate incident response activities with transportation agencies, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, emergency management agencies, and towing/recovery partners.
  • •Support incident detection, verification, response coordination, lane closure management, traveler information dissemination, and TMC standard operating procedures and response protocols.
  • •Assist with Traffic Incident Management (TIM) training program development, updates, and instruction for responder safety and transportation operations training courses.
  • •Work with TSMO engineers to support design, implementation, deployment, and testing of transportation technologies and ITS infrastructure, including CCTV cameras, DMS, traffic detection systems, traveler information systems, and automated warning systems.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Civil, Transportation, Engineering Technology, Emergency Management, Public Safety, Computer Technology, or related discipline.
  • •4 years of related experience supporting TMC Operations, TIM, ITS, Traffic Operations, TSMO, Emergency Response/Emergency Management, or Public Safety Operations.
  • •Experience coordinating with transportation agencies and public safety organizations.
  • •Experience utilizing transportation technologies, operational software systems, or traffic management platforms.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites and other AECOM offices (MVR review required).
