Job Summary

Lead growth of GEICO and GEICO-affiliated product through agency relationship expansion in an assigned Ohio territory. Prospect, interview, and approve new agency appointments, manage and train agents, translate national initiatives into local goals, and monitor performance against targets. Serve as a subject matter expert on products and competitor offerings, using data analysis to set pre-call strategies. Counsel agents and support disciplinary actions up to termination as needed.

•Manage agents in the designated area using in-person, virtual, phone, and email; deliver trainings and manage agency performance.
•Translate national initiatives into local goals, gain commitment, and hold agents accountable for execution and action plans.
•Monitor agent performance against goals, procedures, and guidelines; counsel agents and take disciplinary action up to termination with leadership support.
•Develop local marketing plans and growth plans, use data analysis for pre-call strategies, and act as a subject matter expert on GEICO products and competitor offerings.

Travel: High travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 97,375 - 151,700 annually

Key Requirements

•Insurance and/or sales experience; bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales or relevant insurance experience (claims preferred).
•Ability to speak clearly, empathically, and professionally via phone; must be able to meet in person and virtually.
•Strong ability to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts (or facilitate conflict resolution), and prioritize effectively.
•Ability to multi-task and learn/apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
•Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; compliance with GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy.
